**REACH** is a Glasgow based service supporting children and young people who find it difficult to attend school. The service aims to promote the wellbeing of every child to ensure they can be supported to reach their full potential..

We are looking for 1 Full Time (**35 hours**) & 1 Part Time (**24 hours**) Link Workers to join our team at **REACH** to improve the wellbeing of children and young people aged between 5 - 16 across Glasgow. Our **Link Woker** will support our service users to reach their full personal & educational potential, by supporting them through difficult times they may be facing that is affecting their attendance at school.

You will be required to:

- Work alongside professionals within and across education and other relevant partner services such as Social Work Services, Health Services, Police Scotland, Glasgow Life or Third Sector organisations who are actively involved with the young person.
- Work with CYP to support them at points of transition and when they have disengaged from formal education/ school. Transition refers to moving from Primary to Secondary school or from Secondary 4th Year to post school.
- Respond to issues regarding mental and emotional distress and wellbeing
- Facilitate group learning/activity programmes for individuals and families when required
- Build a relationship with school staff that will support the CYP whether attending the school or attending an out of school learning experience.
- Adhere to a system of recording within the project which contributes to the overall evaluation of the service and plans for future service development.
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities which are commensurate with the post
