Our client is a respected food-based business who offers a diverse portfolio of premium products is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Accountant for their West Sussex site. This is a superb opportunity and provides variety and scope within a rapidly growingFMCG organisation.

This role reports directly to the UK Senior Supply Chain Accountant and Head of Supply Chain Finance. The purpose of this role is control, analyse, interpret, and provide timely supply chain finance information and recommendations to the site leadershipand UK finance team in a pro-active way that facilitates fact-based decision-making. To ensure accurate financial information is collated and reported, identifying corrective actions and support site profitability growth.

This role will have P&L responsibility for 2 sites and provide supply chain finance support to the other UK production units and overall effectiveness of the UK Supply Chain Finance team where required.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Continually monitors Site financial performance - specifically conversion costs, material price, waste, obsoletes, Capex. Flags key issues and performance drivers.
- Analyses and controls Site cost elements by understanding drivers and making recommendations to improve costs & performance KPIs.
- Site expert regarding data flow and financial controls, ensuring robust processes are in place to prevent compliance issues.
- Ensures Site standard product costs and transfer prices are controlled and frequently updated according to latest procurement forecasts and production parameters.
- Responsible for monitoring the accuracy of material master data and timely correction of any errors to avoid impact on financial reporting.
- Collaborates with the wider Site functional teams to continuously improve reporting and data accuracy (e.g., line parameters, scrap factors, product costs etc.)
- Challenges business partners with the risk and financial impact of critical business decisions (e.g., Capex / productivity projects), providing fact-based financial information.
- Leads the month-end closing and AOP budgeting process for the Site.
- Acts as the point of contact for the Site with the external auditor during the year-end audit.

This role would suit a professionally qualified or QBE accountant with 5+ years Management Accounting experience gained ideally in the manufacturing sector. You will be a self-starter, with a pro-active approach and have advanced Excel skills. SAP and BWexperience would be advantageous.
