We have an exciting opportunity for a Ranger to join our team at Limpsfield Common. Working in some of the nation’s most stunning places and spaces, come rain or shine, your love of the outdoors will inspire others as you strive to ensure that landscapes are beautifully presented and continue to take our visitors’ breath away.

**Please note, the salary for this role is £22,152 - £28,275 dependant on experience.**

If you're passionate about conservation, ecology and want to share that passion with others, then this is the role for you. As the Limpsfield Ranger you'll be the first point of contact for the site, and you’ll lead on its management and care with support from the Area Ranger.

We are a small and dedicated team working hard together to improve our sites, engage with our visitors and have fun whilst we do it. We are supported by some fantastic volunteers in our delivery of the aims and strategies of the organisation.

What you'll be doing:With your endless passion for our work, you’ll help with the protection and care of our habitats and wildlife. You'll carry out conservation and infrastructure maintenance across the property and lead a well-established team of dedicated and passionate volunteers.

Working outdoors in all weathers you’ll be involved in lowland heathland management, woodland management and maintaining the estate infrastructure.

You'll be responsible for raising presentation standards, ensuring health & safety, compliance and maintaining equipment and machinery.

You'll be working closely with and report to the Area Ranger, but you'll also be happy to work on your own and be self-motivated. You will share a yard and base with another Area Ranger that manages a different site but will all support each other and work as a team.

You’ll also share and promote the work that we do here in the Surrey Hills, ensuring special places like these are here to be both protected and enjoyed by everyone for ever. You’ll share our common goal with visitors and build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the National Trust.

**In this role, you’ll work some weekends, bank holiday and evenings.**

- Be an excellent team player
- Be able to work safely, with risk assessments and compliance with safety procedures
- Experience in a land, access and conservation management
- Competence with machinery and equipment as well as having the relevant certificates required
- A full UK driving licence.
