Café All Rounder

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced cook to join our small but busy café locatated in the ideallic location of Baildon Moor.

We use quality, local produce and have built a 5* reputation and hygiene rating over the past 4 years of trading and have reached the time to take it to the next level with additional hands in the kitchen to support extended opening hours.

The successful applicant will be in charge of the kitchen with cooking and delivering customers orders from a select menu to a hygienic level with good presentation skills. All aspects of food safety must be adhered to to keep our 5* rating.

We're a small team so good communication and people skills are very important; towards other staff and customers alike.

Prioritisation and preparation are key as we have a small kitchen. Initiative is essential to make use out of all ingredients so knowledge and skills to reduce waste and utilise stock is essential.

The successful applicant must be able to make an assortment of homemade meals, soups, quiches and sweet treats. So someone who likes to experiment with food, to deliver delicious and different options would love this role.

We are based in the middle of the Moor so transport is essential as there's no public transport access other than car or a long walk from Baildon Village.

We are a seasonal business and open March each year. We close when the weather takes a turn for the worst, around November/December. Jobs are always held for loyal staff until the next year when we reopen March.

Please note - you must be able to work weekends for this role.

Hours
- Wednesday 10am to 2pm

Thurs - 10am to 2pm

Friday - 9am to 3pm

Saturday - 9am to 3pm

Sunday - 9am to 3pm

(We can shift split the weekend work if desired)

The role will also require helping front of house as when required.

Job Duties:

- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
- Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

Additional Duties:

- Recording food temperatures
