Creative Deveopment Designer

**Recra are working in partnership with a global point-of-sale retail and merchandising business who are looking to recruit a permanent Creative Development Designer to join their vibrant team**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Creative Development Designer to join our team specialising in Point of Sale (POS) for retail and merchandising. As a Creative Development Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative and visually appealing POS displays and fixtures. Your expertise in POS design, joinery, and proficiency in software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with your understanding and experience with CNC machinery, will be essential in creating impactful and functional solutions for our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with clients, marketing teams, and project managers to understand project requirements, objectives, and brand guidelines.
- Conceptualise and develop creative and innovative POS display and fixture designs that effectively showcase products and drive sales.
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and renderings of POS designs.
- Ensure designs are feasible for production by considering materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of design and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to optimize design quality and functionality.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials to drive innovation in POS design.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to select appropriate materials and components for production.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing of POS designs, making necessary adjustments and improvements as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations throughout the design and manufacturing process.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field; additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in POS design, preferably in the retail and merchandising industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
- Excellent creativity and ability to think outside the box to develop visually appealing and functional POS designs.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective production techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to POS design and manufacturing.
