**What is it like being a self-employed carer?**

As a self-employed carer you are free to decide which services you provide. Sparrow only match you with clients who you are qualified and happy to work. The work is varied and you have control over the care you provide and the clients you work with.

Likely responsibilities include:

- Companionship
- Assistance with daily living eg. cooking, cleaning, shopping
- Personal care (qualifications required but training opportunities provided) eg. assistance with eating or drinking, toileting, washing or bathing, dressing, administering medications etc
- Coordinating care services and communicating with healthcare professionals
- Running your own business as a self employed carer (assistance given)

**Skills**:

- Strong caregiving skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Ideally a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client's homes or facilities
- Experience in home care or similar caregiving roles is helpful but not essential
- Capable of performing mentally and physically demanding care work
- Able to use phone / computer to carry out business admin and learning

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
