Press Brake Operator

JMTechnical is looking for an experienced / time served **Press Brake Operator **to join our team.

JMTechnical is an established multi-disciplinary engineering company with experience in design, installation, and maintenance. We provide cutting-edge solutions for the aviation sector.

With the recent expansion of JMTechnical, we are looking for a **Press Brake Operator** to join our team. You will be working mostly with sheets of stainless steel and mild steel between 1mm - 3mm thick.

Previous experience is essential as you will be using your own initiative working to company supplied engineering drawings.

**Main responsibilities**
- Operating press brake machine to the company’s specifications and engineering drawings
- Lifting and manoeuvring large and heavy sheets of metal
- Setting up press brake machine to appropriate specifications produce work required
- Organising workflow - able to plan and align work
- Effectively communicating with the Warehouse Supervisor and other members of staff, advising on work progress and stock
- Maintaining high quality control throughout all work produced
- Ensure adherence to agreed procedures at all times
- Able to recognise potential faults with the press brake machine
- Machine maintenance and cleaning each shift

**Skills and experience**
- Ability to multitask and be time-efficient. Operators are expected to run the press brake machine constantly throughout the working day to produce work required for customers
- Confident in delivering projects within set deadlines
- Confident in working with high value items. JMT manufactures airport security lanes, working with the UK’s leading airports
- Ability to understand and read engineering drawings
- High level of attention to detail

**Experience**
- At least 1 year of operating Press Brake machine
- Fabrication - 1 year

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
