**About the Role**

In this role, you will work closely with the North West leadership community and your UK-wide peers to evolve BJSS to meet the future needs of our clients ensuring we have the skills, attitude and aptitude to tackle whatever our clients throw at us withtransparency, quality and agility.

In addition to the day job undertaking a lead role in delivering with clients, you will head up our Delivery Management Capability. You must have an inbuilt passion for delivery excellence, focusing on customer outcomes and motivating and energising deliveryteams to achieve great results.

You will be responsible for the growth of the Delivery Management Capability for the North West, implementing the broader strategy provided by the regional leadership team alongside your own contributions and exciting ideas on how we expand our capability/community.This role will bring an opportunity to be continuously learning throughout.

The role will report to the Regional CapabilityLead for the North West and will work closely with other capability leads as part of our vibrant capability leadership team.

**About You**

The heart of our approach to delivery is Agile; so, what do we look for in a BJSS Delivery Manager? You will have experience of delivery within a variety of industry sectors and use a mix of project management approaches to ensure you are actively workingtowards a no surprises delivery, removing impediments and managing risk. In some cases, you could be the sole representative from BJSS, leading client and third-party mixed teams. With your hands-on experience in Agile delivery, you will be comfortable leadingteams of various sizes and configurations; from a fully resourced BJSS team located either on clients’ site or BJSS premises. You will bring significant delivery experience to the role and will understand good delivery principles, embrace agile practices,have an eye for detail and be able to 'ask the right questions’ to validate successful delivery.

Alongside your role as a Delivery Manager and a Capability Lead, you will have some off project time to provide support to the Delivery Managers in the region as well as ensuring companywide initiatives are being followed. This requires somebody who willmaintain and build the existing Delivery Community of Practice and provide advice and support around individuals' professional development, whilst ensuring expected standards and principles are maintained.**
Together with a track record of enterprise-scale project delivery, we'd like you to bring:

- Recent experience as a Capability Lead or similar, ideally with experience of strategic capability development.
- An ability to manage your time and prioritise effectively across project delivery and capability leadership.
- A hands-on working knowledge of the key phases and ceremonies of an Agile project.
- The ability to explain and introduce engineering practices and behaviours.
- A deep understanding of the effective use of Agile task management tools.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles.
- An understanding of how to mitigate and reduce risk and remove obstacles and blockers.
- A focus on ensuring quality throughout all stages of the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
- Adaptable and resilient with a high attention to detail.
- A self-starter, motivated and able to motivate others.
- Enjoy acting as an advocate for good testing practices, with a clear passion for engaging the community outside your organisation
- Comfortable communicating with different audiences, being able to manage upwardly and downwardly to a broad range of stakeholders.
