Buyer - Directs

**This specialist environmental engineering firm based in Surrey is seeking a Buyer with Direct categories, ideally from the manufacturing sector**

The Buyer - Directs role includes:

- Purchasing of all materials to the best price, quality, and delivery. Utilising Syspro MRP system.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best price and delivery.
- Liaise with and advise all members of staff regarding purchasing issues.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding progressing orders and payment issues.
- Liaise with wider supply team re supplier approvals, supplier performance monitoring (delivery/quality etc), ISO issues.
- Liaise with Accounts Department regarding Purchase Order invoice/accounts queries.
- Liaise with Stores Department regarding missing parts on Purchase Orders.
- Filing of all Purchase Orders raised and acknowledgements.
- Request quotes from suppliers for manufactured parts, drawings etc.
- Develop and build strategic relationships with existing key suppliers.
- Establish and maintain sound professional relationships with suppliers. Resolve issues (e.g. pricing, quality, timing, claims, contract disputes, etc.) associated with terms and conditions of associated agreements.
- Monitoring supplier performance.

You will have 3 years plus experience within a manufacturing environment and ideally have some MRP software experience.

Based 4 days a week in the office, one day from home with flexible hours.
