Accounts Assistant

**Start Date**:ASAP
**Full-time employment. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office.**
**Experience with Xero is essential**
**Key responsibilities**
Purchasing and Purchase Ledger
- Manage the purchase order process across the schools
- Ensuring purchase order requests are in line with the budget set
- Input purchase invoices, track delivery of goods & services and manage timely payments to suppliers
- Maintain records of accounting and supplier contracts
- Reconcile the aged creditors control account monthly
- Report and provide analysis of cost vs budget to budget holders monthly
Other Finance and administrative
- Be the first point of contact in dealing with routine phone calls, taking messages and following up queries
- Support the management accountant with other finance and admin tasks including petty cash and tracking of other cash receipts
- Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register for purchase of computer equipment and fixtures
- Keep up to date records of delivery received against purchase orders and assisting premises staff the navigation of deliveries to appropriate departments

- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
