Medical Secretary

An opportunity has arisen in the Community Learning Disability Team based in Cavendish House in Hastings. We are looking to recruit a full time, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The post is to provide administrative/secretarial support to the consultant psychiatrists. The post holder will be highly organised and will need to provide an accurate and timely secretarial service.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a high level of expertise in typing and keyboard skills which would include knowledge and understanding of Microsoft packages. They would need to have relevant experience, good organisational skills, have an excellent telephone/ communication manner and an understanding of confidentiality. They must be able to work well independently, manage changing demands and priorities and also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
They will also need to be an effective communicator when dealing with service users, carers and health and social care professionals. We are looking for a person who has initiative and strong values, is people focused.
