**Job Summary**:
We require a generalist HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract to support the Senior Management Team and to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team where you will play a crucial role in providing HR support and guidance to employees and management.

Your expertise in various HR systems and processes will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR department.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide HR support to colleagues and managers across the organisation on all aspects of the employee life cycle.
- Offer advice on the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Respond to queries and provide pragmatic advice to resolve employee relations issues, including probation, attendance, performance management, and leaver processes.
- Partner with Managers on for regular HR input and guidance.
- Provide support on Employee Relations casework including disciplinaries,
- grievances and investigations
- Process and administer new starters through to induction
- Process leavers and conduct exit interviews
- Compile job descriptions and arrange probation reviews in Managers diaries
- Facilitate and co-ordinate the Performance Appraisal process between Management
- Liaising with external training providers on arranging training courses
- Coaching and developing Team Leaders/Managers and Senior Management Team as required
- Draft reports and support HR Manager with project work.
- Oversee the HR inbox and coach HR Administrator when necessary.
- Maintain Personnel Records both computerized and manual system
- Assess and monitor all Long term sickness cases including liaising with external Occupational health providers
- Administration of any changes to employee T&C’s or amendments
- Administers holiday, sick leave, leave of absence and overtime
- Compile, maintain and update Staff Handbook, Contracts of Employment and other template letters
- Implementing and changing HR procedures or processes as required
- Record weekly statistics on hours worked, absence, overtime, authorised absence and staff turnover
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Compile and maintain the Personnel Manual as part of the quality procedures
- Assist in the compilation of Management Plans including preparation of budget for Human Resources operations.
- Liaise with external company HR support on more complex issues/cases
- Have adequate knowledge of Health & Safety and assist in issues as required
- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance purposes.
- Assist in organising meetings and taking minutes as required
- Responds to both internal & external enquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Carry out any other duties as required by the Senior Management Team
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the business which may not be part of your day to day role.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Ideally CIPD qualification Level 3 and above
- At least 2 years’ experience working at HR Advisor level.
- Able to make decisions and have the confidence to carry them out.
- Verbal and Numerical skills

**Required Skills**:

- Experience supporting managers with first-level employee relations cases.
- Advising managers and staff about HR policies and processes.
- Knowledge of HR best practice and workplace trends.
- Working knowledge of employment law.
- Good communication skills
- Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member
- Experience of dealing with employees at all levels in a sometimes-challenging environment
- Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of staff
- Confident directing HR and advising Team Leaders/Managers on all aspects of people management and development.
- Demonstrable experience in managing recruitment, redundancy or other relevant HR change management projects
- A working knowledge of employment law
- Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-6pm
- Flexibility, primarily office based in Balham
- 28 days holiday pay inclusive of bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time)
