Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support construction and maintenance projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
**Duties**:
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of underground utilities, such as water and sewer lines
- Operate hand tools and power equipment to dig trenches, lay pipes, and backfill excavations
- Assist with the construction of concrete structures, such as curbs, sidewalks, and foundations
- Perform landscaping tasks, including grading, seeding, and planting
- Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators or skid steers, under the supervision of a qualified operator
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or related field preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
