**Job Description**:
Godolphin are seeking to recruit a Hostel Assistant, to support the Seconded Accommodation Manager with the day to day running of two hostels located on our two racing yards, at Moulton Paddocks and Godolphin Stables.

**Key tasks to be undertaken by this role are**:

- Inspection of bedrooms and communal rooms on a daily basis
- Ensuring the Company Safety Policy is clearly publicised and strictly adhered to
- Minor maintenance, as required, for example, changing of light bulbs
- To act as an interpreter for the residents of the hostel where required
- The issuing of Accommodation Agreements to all tenants of the Hostel and ensuring that the agreements are fully understood and strictly adhered to
- To act as the out-of-hours point of contact in an Emergency (maintenance or medical)
- The implementation of the room allocation plan as directed by the Accommodation Manager
- Liaison point with external contractors in relation to cleaning and catering
- Overseeing stock control and distribution of uniform to staff members residing at the hostel
- Providing transport to our hostel residents to medical appointments
- Weekly collections from the local cash & carry
- Raising of purchase orders as required on an ad-hoc basis

**Qualifications**:
**Personal skills, qualifications, and experience**
- Bilingual - Urdu / English is essential for this role
- Qualified first aid trained
- UK driving license
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel

- All applicants must have proof that they have the right to work in the UK.
- 35 hours week - 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday, with ‘on call’ availability on rotating weekends)
- Live-in (accommodation available) is desirable/available
