Support Worker

We are currently looking for caring, trustworthy and dependable individuals to join our team on a flexible basis.

The role will include helping clients with all aspects of personal care and their daily living in their own homes.

The responsibilities and duties are wide-ranging. The job revolves around helping clients with their immediate needs such as washing, dressing and maintaining their hygiene, as well as helping them with basic day-to-day tasks e.g. shopping and light housework.

The support worker role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with emotional support and company, which contributes positively to their well-being.

The duties of a support worker can also extend to helping clients to take part in leisure activities, such as going on day trips. These duties, therefore, vary substantially from client to client so that no two days are the same.

Support workers will report to the Registered Manager.

Desirable skills:

- Experience in care provision at a level that reflects the responsibilities of the post.
- Full, clean driving licence and own car.
- A qualification in Health and Social Care

Experience of:

- Personal care
- Weekly shopping
- Meal preparation
- Light housework & cleaning
- Supervising medication
