Little Limes Day Nursery is a small and intimate nursery setting based in Hersham, Walton-on-Thames. The nursery is an open plan setting with a very large, attractive outdoor space and our hours are 8am to 6pm for 51 weeks of the year. We are currently seeking to hire a qualified Nursery Practitioner.

At Little Limes we are inspired by the Italian Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education which values the child as a strong, capable and resilient person who is full of curiosity. As nursery practitioners, we stand by, observe, document and support children in finding their own techniques to communicate with the world in their own unique way and support them to overcome obstacles whilst also assisting them with learning.

We are looking for nursery practitioners who are naturally passionate about caring and supporting children in their development and learning. A basic awareness of Reggio Emilia is an advantage and training is also provided.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working in line with EYFS, planning and implementing activities according to the curriculum, both indoors and outdoors
- Being a key person for a group of children, which would involve regular observations, next step planning and termly reports using the digital system
- Ensuring a safe, warm and caring environment is provided for the children
- Developing and maintaining strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs
- Being a great team player and working closely with the Manager and other nursery staff
- Ensuring the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories
- Advising the Manager/Deputy Manager of any concerns over children, parents, the safety of the environment and preserving confidentiality as necessary
- Being involved in out of working hours activities such as training, monthly staff meetings and various events throughout the year
- Being flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
- Working alongside the Manager and team to ensure the setting’s ethos is fulfilled
- Following the policies and procedures of the setting
- Maintaining complete confidentiality of any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the role

**Qualifications/Experience Required**
- NVQ or CACHE level 2, level 3 or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a nursery setting
- Experience with preschool aged children

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
