Job Summary:
As a Yardsman at Able Steelwork & Metalwork Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the organization by ensuring the efficient operation of the yard area. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, organizing materials, and supporting the overall workflow of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate forklifts to unload materials from delivery lorries and manage the placement of awkward and heavy objects.
- Organize and maintain the yard and storage areas to ensure easy access to materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular checks and basic maintenance on forklifts and other yard equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and project teams to ensure the right materials are available and prepared for upcoming projects.
- Assist in inventory management and ensure accurate records of materials received and used.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in safety meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in operating forklifts, with a valid forklift operator’s license.
- Experience in handling large, awkward, or heavy objects.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a yard or warehouse setting.
- Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to handle physical workload.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
