**Job Overview**:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Residential Warden to join our team in providing care and support within a residential setting to young learners whose first language is not English. The role involves overseeing the well-being and safety of residents, particularly children, within the facility during evenings and night time. Fixed dates will be provided in advance. A typical residential week would work as follows:
Onsite and with regular duties 18:00 to 23:00 (hourly pay)
Onsite but on call between 23:00 and 06:30 (paid for any on call emergencies)
Onsite with regular duties from 06:30 to 08:30 (hourly pay)

**Duties**:

- Reporting welfare issues to the Designated Safeguarding Person immediately
- Assisting with the RESIDENTIAL arrivals and departures of students throughout the course, checking bedrooms and facilities, escorting students etc.
- Reporting maintenance issues to the Director of Studies or Principal
- Reporting housekeeping issues to the Director of Studies or Principal
- Supervising the "going to bed" and "getting up" routines and breaks.
- Dealing with students and Group Leaders in a helpful, courteous and professional manner whilst encouraging full and enthusiastic involvement by students in any scheduled activities.

**Rota**:

- The Warden is expected to be on site from 18:00 to 08:30 every day whilst young learners are living on site.
- Set up, supervise and clear away the morning breakfast usually from 07.00-08.00
- Supervise and interact with students and group leaders between 18.00-21.00
- Supervise activities as pre-agreed by the specific programme
- Set up, supervise and clear away dinner times (usually 18.00-19:00)
- Supervise bedtime routine and assist with student and group leader needs 21.00-22.00 (depending on ages)

**Essential Skills / Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues effectively
- First Aid Certificate

**Desireable Qualifications / Experience**
- Previous experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting
- Fire Marshall certificate

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £411.00-£560.00 per week

Expected hours: 36 - 49 per week
