Nursery Nurse Apprentice.

**We want a hard working, enthusiastic, fun personality to join our team**

**Key Objectives;**
- To work well with children
- Be able to understand and adhere to Sandfield Day Nursery policies and procedures and to also follow the Children's Act, Health and Safety Legislation and work within the guidelines of Ofsted, meeting welfare requirements.
- To be able to attend training when required
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Be able to liaise with the senior staff and management
- To be able to understand and follow routine, ensuring to implement it within the room you are working in

**Responsibilities;**
- You will be expected to attend staff meetings and encouraged to share any ideas you may have
- Under supervision you will be expected to provide all aspects of care for the children, e.g; nappy changes, feeding
- To provide a high level standard of care to all the children and meet their personal, social, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs, whilst also ensuring to treat all children equally and being mindful of their cultural differences
- Provide adult interaction with the children and scaffold their learning as they explore
- To contribute to the planning and the implementation of activities for the children and provide different learning opportunities
- Assist in ideas for displays and equipment for indoors and outdoors, being mindful of the age and developmental needs of the children
- Assist in the provision of a high quality environment
- Ensure that you are safeguarding the children and promoting their welfare
- Be able to liaise with parents and carers, encouraging their involvement in the aims of the nursery and all other aspects of their children's care
- To assist in the daily domestic care of the nursery, e.g; ensuring the building is safe, secure and clean at all times
- Help prepare snacks, cleaning equipment and laundry duties

**Personnel;**
- Contribute to good hygiene practices and cleanliness within the nursery
- Have good initiative and be able to identify the needs of the children, noticing where your help can be utilised
- Respect confidentiality
- Maintain standards of the nursery
- Be open to new opportunities (working in other areas of the nursery)

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

Pay: From £6.40 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
