We are currently seeking an interim operational HR Generalist who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get on with whatever needs doing in terms of operational HR for our industrial, engineering client based in South Plymouth. This a day rate role to supportthe 700 employees in all aspects of HR, whilst the company recruits permanent employees. It is primarily an operational role in a tough ER/IR lean in HR environment and will give great opportunity to work on and resolve complex employee relations issues. Inorder to work well in this environment you will need to be resilient with superb influencing skills..

Working with the remote Snr HRBP, this is a broad generalist role encompassing: full ownership of the recruitment process, employee relations, coaching/development and other HR services. You will partner line managers on HR/ER issues and people managementprocesses, developing and delivering training initiatives that support the organisational goals. This will be advising managers to drive their effectiveness, supporting on any ER issues and recruitment, implementing engagement strategies and action plans andgenerally helping your stakeholders by adding value and providing solutions to their people issues.

**Person Specification**
- A strong HR Generalist with broad operational HR capability including recruitment, Employee Relations and people development. Some coaching experience would be ideal.
- Able to start immediately and happy to work on a day rate and short term contract.
- Within easy commuting distance of Plymouth.
- Preferably part or fully CIPD qualified.
- Experience of working effectively in a fast paced operational role preferably in a private sector engineering, manufacturing or industrial organisation.
- Credible, with the gravitas and ability to influence at all levels especially in a male dominated shop floor environment.
- Results-oriented, meets commitments, takes a pro-active approach
- Happy to roll up sleeves and get on with whatever needs doing.

This is a broad and very varied generalist operational interim HR role with lots of autonomy.
