**The Role**:
We are looking for a Secretary/Legal Assistant to join this team to carry out:
- Processing audio dictation using BigHand
- Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
- File opening and closing;
- Drafting routine correspondence including client engagement letters
- Making and taking calls in a professional manner
- Diary management
- Liaising with clients and other third parties
- Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
- Create and maintain database Will, EPA and LPA records
- Handling of original Wills/Powers of Attorney
- Maintain Trust permanent folder
- Land Registry and Companies House searches
- File archiving
**Skills needed**:
- Previous experience of working as a Secretary (experience in a legal environment would be an advantage, although secretarial skills gained in another industry could be transferable)
- fast, accurate typing skills, including audio typing
- excellent attention to detail
- the ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
- a methodical approach and good time management
- excellent IT skills
- good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- positivity and adaptability
- a high standard of written and spoken English
