**About the team?**

This role of S4 at Barnstaple will see the successful applicant based in the Station with the primary roles of customer service and station presentation. You will confidently assist our passengers who arrive and depart from the station looking for some assistance, ensure the station is clean and tidy and ready for our customers to meet the business expectations. Provide information and assistance to customers and ensure that the station environment is kept to a high standard.

As part of the station team you will be looking after Barnstaple station in the Mid Devon area. Ensuring the Station is presentable for our customers. Getting involved with the community and stakeholders. Provide high quality Customer service to all customer and those needing assisted travel.

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- Providing excellent customer service to our customers using our stations.
- Undertake litter collection at the station station
- Bin management/poster updating
- Ensuring station presentation is maintained to a high standard
- Cleaning the station within COSHH guidelines
- managing the safety of customers on the station and providing excellent customer service at all times
- You will be involved in providing information, helping with customer needs and enquiries, and will need a basic understanding of tickets and products
- Providing assistance to passengers boarding and alighting trains

**You'll need to be**:

- Through your experience gained in your current or a previous role you will ensure, deliver and demonstrate the highest levels of customer service excellence through effective and consistent service delivery.
- Proactive with a ‘can do' attitude
- Able to maintain focus during times of disruption
- A motivated self-starter with the confidence to take ownership
- An ability to multitask well

**As a minimum you will need to have**:

- Previous experience of establishing relationships with customers
- Educated to GCSE standard
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience of working within a team
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- A passion for excellent customer service

**About the location?**

Barnstaple station is a located a short walk from the town centre and serves as the bus interchange for the local area.

**Working pattern?**

Working rotation shifts Mon -Wed, Thurs - Sat. Working hours are 09:15 - 15:15. There is also a requirement to work Bank Holidays

This role is working 3 days a week, 18 hours a week
