Davies are looking to recruit exceptional Claims Handler’s to join our growing Property team in our Elland office. This role will place you at the heart of our customer journey and you will be the first point of contact in moments that matter to our clients.

**What will your day look like**:
- Communicating professionally with a variety of people including customers, insurers, suppliers, and colleagues around the country
- Reviewing policies to correctly determine how to progress a claim
- Ensuring the policyholder is kept informed on progress of their claim by composing informative letters and other written correspondence
- Reviewing data to set up new claims, appointing contractors and updating claims on internal systems
- Issuing payments to policyholders as well as arranging settlements and invoice payments where necessary
- Ensuring claims are updated with any changes on the internal system
- Ensuring compliance with our contractual and regulatory requirements
- Managing and reviewing diaries in a timely manner
- Reviewing insurance policy wordings to establish if a claim is covered
- Contributing to team, division and wider business growth and development
- Contributing to a happy team working environment
**Abilities And Knowledge**:
- Ability to deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Great communicator, dedicated to providing a professional and empathetic service to our customers
- Proven experience dealing with challenging conversations, while maintaining a professional and adaptable communication style
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Efficient administrative skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office with ease
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with great attention to detail
- Polite and courteous phone manner
- A professional and adaptable communication style - both written and verbal;

- Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
