Storeperson

Rubb Buildings Ltd is currently seeking a Store person to join its team in Gateshead (Team Valley) to undertake works in connection with the issuing of store’s material and the maintenance of stock. This will include managing the stores systems, purchase orders, receipting goods and running the Stores efficiently and to the required standards.
- Create purchase orders and record goods inwards / outwards
- Ensure checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.
- Take delivery of goods delivered into stores, with the use of forklifts where required.
- Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity.
- Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels.
- Put materials away in stores after deliveries and segregate according to customer requirements.
- Get materials out ready for collection and for the issuing to jobs, using the IT equipment provided.
- Assist with stock checks when required.
- Keep stores clean and tidy.
- Keep log of returns.
- Support the delivery of materials.
- Ensure internal and external customers receive a courteous service.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials onto vehicles and assist colleagues in this task where necessary.
- Ensure all materials are secure on the vehicles to enable safe transportation and to avoid any loss or damage.

Other Tasks:

- To unlock / lock up the yard and stores as required.
- To work later hours when circumstances dictate.
- To foster constructive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations.

The successful applicant requires:
- A Full UK Driving License (essential)
- Experience of working in a similar role, involving work in stores, driving and yard responsibilities for a minimum of two years, or equivalent experience.
- A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of Waste Recycling
- Computer literate and knowledge of stock systems
- Good listener and team player.
- Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.
- A Forklift licence (Desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Hourly Rate 14.00/hr, 39 hour week.
