Auden House is a 24 bedroom care home for people with residential and dementia care needs.

We require an organised and committed individual with a professional approach, to join our small team as a night care assistant.

The Night Care Assistant must be reliable and fully competent in all aspects of providing care and support to our elderly residents. We want someone proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us to create the best person-centred environment for our residents. You'll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team.

**Main duties**:

- Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
- Assist residents as required with their personal care in a sensitive and caring manner.
- Caring for the sick, bed-ridden residents, by observing & turning regularly to avoid pressure sores and treating them where necessary
- Communicate sensitively verbally and non-verbally with residents
- Making and changing beds and dealing with soiled linen; Cleaning commodes.
- Respond promptly to the call bell system
- Carry out night time cleaning duties and fill in cleaning rotas.

**Person Specification**:
**Professional**
- Experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this

**Experience**
- Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Have a friendly & caring attitude
- Genuine interest in working in a care environment.

**General**
- Have an understanding of and empathy with older people.
- Be able to take a lead where needed and also be a team player.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £11.55 per hour
