Freightage Ltd is looking to employ a Milk Collection Driver / Yard Administrator for our Endon depot. As an independant milk haulage company with 3 depots in England and Wales we work 365 days of the year collecting and delivering milk into dairies, whatever the weather.

We are recruiting for a hybrid role which will include Yard administration, including completion of paperwork, maintenance and cleanliness of the yard, with an evening milk collection round. The successful applicant will ideally be an HGV Class 1 driver; however, HGV Class 2 will be considered. It is essential to have at least 12 HGV driving experience, a current driver CPC and digital Tacho. You must also be entitled to work in the UK.

Milk collection responsibilities involve the evening collection of milk from farms on allocated routes and delivering back to the yard for transhipment. On return to the yard vehicles must be CIP'd in preparation for the next shift. Strict adherence to road haulage, health and safety and Dairy product safety regulations is essential.

Reporting directly to the Area Manager your shift will be an 8 hour, 4 on - 4 off shift pattern with a start time of 2 p.m and will finish after a milk collection round by 10 p.m. The split between Yard administration and driving is expected to be 4 hours administration and 4 hours of milk collection.

Your pro rata pay before any overtime, is expected to be circa £23,000 and this includes a 7% unsocial hours uplift on our basic driving rates for your HGV class. Other terms and conditions include a Government pension scheme and 23 days holiday.
