Malmesbury C of E Primary School is a large vibrant school, which converted to become a Single Academy Trust in 2013. As a Single Academy Trust the school employs all the staff and is responsible to the DfE for meeting the requirements of the Academy Trust Handbook. Wiltshire Council provide our HR and Payroll, while South Gloucester Council (Integra) provide our Accounting and Budget Support.

**The role**

We are looking to appoint a part-time HR Administrator to support our School Business Manager (SBM) to work 3 - 3.75 hours a day for 4 days a week (preferably mornings).

Ideally the successful applicants will possess breadth and depth of experience in a school setting along with relevant HR experience or qualifications. Previous experience of the academy sector would be advantageous.

We are seeking committed and dynamic people, team players who are able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the school.
- Liaise with and support the SBM and/or leadership team over all staff on-boarding and off-boarding, to include drafting job adverts, arranging job interviews, producing offer letters etc.
- Monitor staff absences and arrange cover as required to ensure the school is appropriately staffed.
- Collate and process payroll and personnel data under supervision of the SBM.
- Maintain personnel and CPD records, qualifications and CRB single central record.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date.
- Liaise with SBM, Head Teacher and Wiltshire HR over HR issues, inform the SBM and/or leadership team on HR legislation/practices.
- Support the SBM, leadership team and school’s office with any other tasks.
- Have excellent administration and organisational skills, be unflappable in a crisis and maintain appropriate confidentiality of all information.
- Possess finely honed communication and interpersonal skills and know how to use them to effectively reach different audiences.

**Additional information**

**Hours of Work**:12 to 15 hours a week, for 40 weeks a year (term time plus 2 weeks) - Monday to Friday

**Contract type**: Permanent

**Salary**:Grade F - Point 9 (£12.02 per hour) to Point 11 (£12.70 per hours) per annum (depending on experience) plus enrolment into the local government pension scheme (current employer payment rate of 24.9%). Please note that FTE pay is £23,194-£24,496, and full time hours are based on 37 hours per week, meaning actual pay for hours worked will be £6,636 - £8959.
