**Pre-Assessment Nurse | Spire Gatwick Park | Horley | Permanent | Full time |**

The provision of a pre-operative and assessment service which improves efficiency and enhances patient care.
To develop and review new patient processes. To ensure that clinical risk assessment is performed in line with the Spire Healthcare assessment process prior to admission and the information is used pro-actively. Establish and provide pre-operative assessment clinics for clinical assessment. Review all completed pre-admission medical questionnaires in line with the assessment processes. Make appropriate recommendations with the consultant, anaesthetist and multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and cost effective treatment. Request investigations through clinical decision making and diagnostic reasoning processes in line with the NICE guidelines. Establish and maintain networking links with Spire Healthcare and to maintain and develop links with the NHS Raise the profile of pre-operative assessment within the hospital.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- You will support in assessing patient's health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals' health and wellbeing needs
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others
- Promote best practice in health and safety and security
- Assist in maintaining and developing services
**Who we're looking for**
- You will be a Registered Nurse
- Be used to working in teams with minimum supervision
- Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration
