Site Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our expanding team at Northern Recycling Solutions. A family run business with 35 employees, we have a dedicated team providing top-class waste services to hundreds of customers across the North of Scotland. Having just completed our new Resource Recovery Centre we are looking for environmentally motivated individuals to help us achieve our goals and reduce the carbon footprint of waste across the Highlands.
As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our site. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a team will contribute to the success of our organization. **Responsibilities**:
- Supervise a team of employees to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently, - Provide guidance and support to employees, including training and development opportunities, - Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall site performance, - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to site activities
Main duties will include:
- Sorting/segregating of recyclable and general waste materials
- Shredding of paper and other confidential waste
- Baling & storing of sorted waste
- Wire Stripping for copper recovery
- Safe operation of Company plant and equipment
- Forklift operation (only if you have a valid licence)
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment/skips/bins
- Maintaining housekeeping levels within the warehouse and main yard
- Duties involve regular light, medium and heavy lifting
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices would be preferable, but training will be provided.
Employees may be called upon to carry out other tasks out-with this list. Employees will be required to work both inside the warehouse and outside in the main yard and may be required to work at other locations.

**Salary**: From £27,500.00 per year
