In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a modernisation programme from the beginning. **Salary: £35,000 Annually**

**Job Location: Throckley - NE15**

**Job Role**

You will be assisting the Head of Manufacturing Operations with the efficient running of the department, leading the site production quality compliance requirements, whilst ensuring the full deployment of the company strategies, systems and processes ensuring the delivered product consistently meets customer requirements and expectations. Ensuring that operators and team leaders are compliant with standard operating procedures regarding process and product quality standards.

You will be expected to provide:

- A value-adding service to the operational teams to maintain, deliver and improve production quality.
- Deliver targets aligned to the site KPI's.
- Support the training of personnel on quality standards.
- Assist the business in meeting quality, cost reduction and delivery targets.
- Identify and resolve quality issues with suppliers including off-site visits.
- Assist in internal production quality audits including ASTA and implement the processes within the shopfloor and work on a continuous improvement basis.

**Key Accountabilities**

**These will include**:

- Assist with the development and improvement of procedures and documents in line with the relevant production quality requirements for the site.
- Provide and communicate accurate and timely production quality data to the wider management team: Monitor, Analyse, Improve and report product and process performance.
- Lead in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Data collection, entry, and analysis in the creation of charts and graphs
- Implement, perform, and ensure adherence to the site auditing schedule; findings being addressed, closed, and communicated back.
- Completion of QC checks
- Assist with the development, execution and improvement of production quality processes and activities with the emphasis on, continuous improvement and defect reduction.
- Execute team briefs and maintain/update performance data.
- Process and investigate customer complaints, managing the process for any corrective and preventative action.
- Regularly communicate with Operations regarding production quality issues.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**
- Minimum 3+ years' experience
- Knowledge/experience of ISO9001, 14001, 45001 accreditation
- Capable of reading engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) literate
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Experience of Inspecting of components
- Accepts own responsibility for motivating self and team members to perform.
- Non-Conformance Reporting - Customer & Internal
- Understand problem-solving techniques.
- Corrective & Preventative action Implementing & monitoring progress.
- Knowledge of 5 Why, root cause analysis, 8D/7D
