**Location**: Conwy, Wales

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour

**Working Hours**: 39 hours per week

Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 5pm

Friday: 8:45am - 4:30pm

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our client’s team as a Lab Assistant. Our client is a world leading inspection, verification, and testing company operating in a dynamic and innovative laboratory based in Conwy.

In this role you will play a crucial role in the processing, sorting, labelling, and packaging of samples, ensuring to uphold the testing and health and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction. This role will be repetitive as you will be responsible for processing 400-600 liquid (oil and water) samples in the lab each day.

You do not need previous lab experience to succeed in this role, however it is essential that you have a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Receiving and processing liquid samples in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow established procedures when sorting and handling samples.
- Ensure accurate and secure labelling of samples.
- Prepare and post test kits to customers adhering to company protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of sample information, ensuring accuracy each and every time.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Be able to work individually and collaboratively to ensure efficient operations in the laboratory.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced role is highly desirable.
- A strong appreciation for health and safety procedures.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with data entry, processing, or analysis (although not essential)
- Previous lab experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in a factory-based role would transfer well to this position.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 weeks
