**Purpose of the Role**

This exciting hybrid opportunity has arisen to join our Client Money team in Leeds to ensure client financial transactions relating to insurance broking are managed and recorded correctly.

This role will involve using your skills and knowledge across several financial accounting disciplines to complete reconciliation and process activities for the back office Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) centre and to support management in the operational function of the team, when required. The role will help to protect our client’s money under CASS5 regulations.

**What you will do**

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.
- Perform reconciliation and process activities across one or more of the following disciplines:

- Cash posting & allocation,
- Bank reconciliation,
- Client & Insurer payments,
- Payaways (intermediary payment process)
- Client money calculations,
- Bordereaux / statement reconciliation,
- Other client money support activities as required.
- Manage your own workload to ensure work is completed to the agreed Service Levels (SLAs) and quality standards.
- Provide stand in cover for Team Leader/Manager where required.
- Assist with the distribution of workflow in the team.
- Be the technical referral point for escalated or complete queries.
- Support quality reviews and technical training needs across the department.
- Support audit requests for information and process walk-through exercises.
- Fulfil your responsibilities in line with agreed processes to achieve agreed objectives, and in doing so, ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules within the FCA Handbook, identifying and recording any breaches of FCA rules.

**Who we are looking for**

This is an opportunity for a talented, dynamic individual, with strong financial skills and experience, ideally with some client money (Cass 5) knowledge. We are looking for someone has:

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Must have financial services experience, ideally in an insurance broking environment
- Client Money (Cass 5) knowledge desirable
- GCSE Maths and English (grade 5 or above) or equivalent
