**About Geotek**

Geotek, established in 1994, is a global leader in non-destructive instrumentation and analysis of geological core samples, with a strong international presence. The company serves various Geoscience sectors, including Oil and Gas, Mineral Exploration, Palaeoclimate, and Geotechnical Engineering. Geotek has a robust order book, providing products and core logging services to earth science institutions, geotechnical firms, and major players in mineral exploration and the oil and gas industry.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist in geological projects from initiation to completion, collecting and processing geological, geochemical and mineralogical datasets.
- Gain experience in using various Geotek core logging equipment’s and techniques.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations based on findings.
- Collaborate with other teams, including research and development, and software.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their geological requirements.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops to communicate findings.
- Input to and generation of new data acquisition methodologies into project workflows.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the acquisition of accurate and reliable data.
- Occasional travel abroad (onshore and offshore) or secondment overseas with other Geotek projects and teams. The frequency and duration of such travel and/or secondment will vary depending on project demands and organisational needs; typically up to 90 days.

**Qualifications and Experience Requirement**s
- A relevant degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- At least two years’ experience in the field of geological services and/or laboratory testing.
- Basic knowledge of core analysis techniques, laboratory procedures, and geological interpretation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying geological concepts and ideas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in geological projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Must have a full and clean driving license.
- The right to work in Brazil or South East Asia would be beneficial but is not required.
- Must be able and willing to commute to Daventry, UK where the role will be based.

Salary and benefits are negotiable and will be commensurate with skills and experience.
