Reed Finance are delighted to be assisting a leading design & build firm on the recruitment of their next Group Financial Controller. The company are leaders across the events industry and work on projects around the globe.

This role will be an initial 12 month fixed term contract but it will be a high-profile position within the business and will give you significant exposure at board and executive level with ability to influence over all areas of finance.

This Group Financial Controller role will report to and partner with the CFO, leading all aspects of Financial Accounting department as well as taking accountability for the day to day running of the finance function and team.

To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in a similar role within a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment and have experience dealing with international subsidiaries. Ideally you will have worked in a project-based business before.

**_Note this role requires a fully qualified Accountant either ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent._**
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Manage the finance team
- Responsible for all financial controller, technical accounting matters and month-end close process
- Oversee financial operations and controls across several geographical locations.
- Manage cash flow and produce cash flow monitoring reports including overseas purchasing and payable.
- Prepare statutory accounts under IFRS and any local statutory reporting as well as manage audit with CFO
- Oversee monthly local payroll and manage AR/AP function
- Deal with asset financing relationship and calculations
- Responsible for all tax compliance, produce VAT returns and deal with compliance on VAT and HMRC matters including CIS
- Produce forecasts and budgets in conjunction with other team members
- Manage ERP system administration and ad-hoc projects
- **Experience and qualifications required**:_
- Fully Qualified Accountant either ACA, CIMA or ACCA or equivalent
- Must have experience operating in international environment.
- Strong technical account knowledge including IFRS
- Experience within facilities management, events or design & build is highly desirable
- Experience with financing arrangements and strong contract accounting experience is desirable.
- Comfortable dealing with a wide range of business stakeholders such as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors
- Ideally have experience with NetSuite
- Must be able to operate with a hands-on and proactive approach and communicate extremely well.

This role comes with a competitive salary including a discretionary bonus and hybrid working which will be 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
