**Job Advert**:
Bedford’s Housing Services Department has an opportunity for a Housing Needs & Refugee Coordinator.

The role is dual aspect and will monitor expenditure for refugee families and be responsible for producing weekly and monthly Temporary Accommodation statistics necessary for performance monitoring and financial auditing purposes for the management team. You will work closely with internal and external colleagues to ensure smooth transition of Syrian and Afghan Refugee families into the borough and ensure that allocated funds and awards are correctly administered. This vital role serves as a key contact working with the Home Office’s Strategic Migration Partnership.

You will communicate regularly with colleagues to ensure the suitability of property offers and ensure relevant documentation is in place. You will be the first point of contact for a team of Housing Support Officers and ensure that the office is well covered with admin support. You will routinely monitor credit card expenditure, raise and reconcile invoices and must be comfortable working with figures and spreadsheets.
