**Admissions Officer**

Broadway Lodge Limited is currently seeking an Admissions Officer to work with us at our specialist rehabilitation centre in Weston-super-Mare.

**Contract -** Permanent position

**Hours -** 22.5 hours per week (to be worked over 3 or 5 days)

Shift pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-5pm or Monday - Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm

**Rate of pay - **£24,720.00 per annum (£14,835.60 per annum pro rata 22.5 hours per week)

Reporting to the Admissions Team Leader and Registered Manager, you will work as part of the Admissions department to follow up enquiries, process referrals, schedule assessments, agree funding arrangements, then arrange for the patient to be admitted into Broadway Lodge.

**Job Purpose**

To be part of a team that is responsible for the assessing of patients for the suitability of treatment, agree funding arrangements, then arranging for the patient to be admitted into Broadway Lodge.

**Main responsibilities**
- To provide a comprehensive assessment / admissions service.
- Arrange funding for all aspects of the treatment programme.

**Scope of Responsibilities**

1. Take telephone and written referrals and enquiries.

2. Collect / collate all information ready for assessment.

3. Contact, liaise with and update Medical Department.

4. Book and/or carry out assessments.

5. Arrange funding, obtain verbal and written confirmation.

6. Make up files in readiness for patients’ admission.

7. Welcome patients and families on assessment or admission.

8. Liaise and maintain contact with Social Services & Care Managers.

9. Give help and advice to families.

10. Attend group supervision.

11. Log all communication with external bodies.

12. Write file notes on important telephone calls with Care Managers.

13. Confirm admission date and time with patient, Care Managers & family.

14. Notify patient of key factors of admission.

15. Inform all departments of admissions.

16. Keep department diary updated at all times.

17. Enter all referrals and assessments on computer.

18. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings.

19. Collect, process and send reports to Care Managers for extended Care applicants.

20. Request funding when/where appropriate.

21. Maintain and uphold constant communication with accounts department.

22. Amend & circulate counsellors completion/discharge reports & close patient files.

23. Perform tasks as requested by the Registered Manager or C.E.O.
