Category Manager

We are currently recruiting for one of Germany's leading energy companies who is responsible for sales in Germany focusing on the digital energy world with innovative solutions - especially in the areas of photovoltaics, energy storage and electromobilityand are looking for a dynamic procurement manager to take on the role of Category Manager for Indirects...

You will be responsible for the implementation of all strategic purchasing activities in the area of sales and customer operations, including needs and market analyses, information requests, tenders, negotiations, contract design and supplier and contractimplementation in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
- The group of indirects will includes sales representative services, comparison portals, data services, call centres, back office services and receivables management.
- You support the definition of the purchasing strategy, considering the regional stakeholder requirements.
- Responsible for supplier trends and innovations in order to integrate them into the procurement process.
- You carry out cost analyses (e.g. total cost of ownership) and manage procurement risks.
- You are responsible for ensuring the required supplier performance by measuring and monitoring KPIs and conducting regular performance reviews.
- You look after and support many stakeholders, e.g. in contract implementation, contract management or overarching topics such as sustainability and digitization initiatives.

Experience required:

- Relevant academic degree or a comparable qualification (or training).
- Experience in strategic purchasing and ideally in the intercultural working environment of a matrix organisation.
- Knowledge of the indirect categories or related areas as mentioned above.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of tools for purchasing, e.g. in the areas of SAP, SRM, eSourcing and eAuctions.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Interest in building strong networks and helping to shape change.
