- Assemble and install wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and materials required
- Measure, cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials using power tools
- Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware such as locks, letterboxes, and kick plates
- Install cabinets, countertops, shelving units, and other wooden fixtures
- Repair or replace damaged or defective wooden parts of structures
- Paint surfaces as needed to ensure a finished appearance

- Proven experience as a joiner or carpenter
- Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, etc.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Basic knowledge of other trades such as masonry, electrical work, roofing, plumbing, etc. is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
