Total Fire Safety are looking to recruit a part time finance assistant to work closely with the Finance Director to ensure the smooth operation of all finance matters.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Process Sales Ledger entries from source documents, create and distribute customer statements.
- Follow credit control procedures to ensure prompt settlement of customer account balances.
- Process supplier invoices in Sage, reconcile supplier statements and deal with supplier queries.
- Maintenance of up-to-date contracts files.
- Provide administrative support such as scanning, filing, data entry, and processing incoming mail.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files is always maintained.
- Proactively look for ways of improving the efficiency and quality of output within the financial processes.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:

- Familiarity with Sage 50 Professional
- A good understanding of accounting principles through either relevant experience or studying for an accounting qualification.
- Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, Outlook]
- Ability to input accounting data into the accounting system with accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Confident and resourceful
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Willingness to accept responsibility
- A commitment to delivering the best possible customer service
- Flexible attitude to cover other tasks
