Due to exciting expansion plans, we’re looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our friendly Marketing team at Perfect Stays. This is a full-time permanent position (40 hours per week) based in our Wadebridge office.

**About the Junior Copywriter position**

We’re looking for a capable individual to join our expanding Marketing team with impeccable copywriting and digital marketing skills.

Previous writing experience is essential and a degree (or equivalent qualification) in English, Journalism or Creative Writing would be desirable. Above all else, we’re looking for someone with a passion for writing and meticulous attention to detail. A creative flair and a positive attitude are important, as well as exceptional organisational skills and the ability to take initiative.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- **Copywriting**_
- Produce compelling written copy for property listings, including succinct overview descriptions and detailed floorplan write-ups.
- Research and compile accurate local information on areas across Cornwall and the South West for use on our website and in guest-facing documents.
- Produce high-quality, optimised written content for our website that’s helpful to our customers and supports our search engine rankings.
- Research and write blog posts from a simple brief - this may include conducting interviews with owners, local businesses and colleagues.
- Create, proofread and edit written content for a range of cross-department projects, ensuring consistent levels of quality, style and tone.
- Contribute to the management of all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Linkedin. This includes writing creative, original and engaging captions.
- Carry out a wide range of marketing administration tasks, including updating internal documents, responding to guest reviews and communicating with our Portfolio, Guest and Sales teams in a clear and timely manner.
- Put forward new ideas to improve marketing activities and drive results.
- **Marketing support (when required)**_
- Assist with video and photoshoots at properties across our portfolio.
- Design and edit property floorplans for use across our website.

**Ideally, we’re looking for the following skills and experience**:

- Proven writing, editing and proofreading experience with ability to create sophisticated and original content quickly.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent grasp of grammar and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working with style guidelines and adapting tone of voice to suit different customer types.
- Exceptional organisational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, work quickly and adhere to deadlines.
- The ability to adapt and take initiative in a fast-paced working environment, with a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop, as well as to contribute new ideas.
- Experience using social media platforms and e-communications in a business capacity.
- Educated to degree level with a good understanding of digital marketing fundamentals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong local awareness of Cornwall and the South West.
- Clean driving licence and own transport.
