**Role: Canteen Assistant with a DBS**

**Hours**:
**AM shifts: 07:00-14:00**

**PM shifts: 15:00- 21:00**

**For this role we will need your own transport and a DBS**

Appetite4work is looking for some willing and hard working Canteen Assistants to work at a children's activity centre. The site is 10-15 minute walk from the nearest bus stop, half hour on public transport from Hailsham. Own transport would be REQUIRED.

Previous experience as a kitchen porter or catering assistant or canteen assistant would be ideal however we will consider those with other hospitality / cleaning / housekeeping experience.

**Duties and Responsibilities of a Canteen Assistant**
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and floors
- Cleaning of pots, pans, and other cooking equipment
- Help keep the kitchen orderly and sanitary at all times
- Maintain the kitchen and floors in general by washing dishes, taking out bins, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed
- Cleaning of the canteen area, wiping down tables etc.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £14.00 per hour
