With over 22 years’ experience of providing support to men, women and children who are survivors of domestic abuse & sexual violence in the Bradford area, we put our clients at the heart of what we do and are continually striving to make the survivors experience the very best it can be whilst accessing our services.

Our team of committed and dedicated colleagues work with passion and integrity to deliver a holistic package of integrated support in our fast-changing environment.

Are you an experienced domestic abuse support worker looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Community team to develop links with a local community venue, raising awareness and developing support pathways for centre users.

This role has been developed in partnership with Bradford Council, In Communities Housing provider and the local Community & Family Centre in order to offer “in place” support services for individuals living in, relocated to the Buttershaw area impacted by domestic abuse.

**About the role**:
The aim of this role is to, whilst working in partnership with the centre manager and wider team, raise awareness of good practice responses, develop pathways into service and support the centre to meet the needs of vulnerable people in the area.

You will also undertake community development activities with the aim of promoting the services and increase footfall. You will carry a small case load of clients experiencing domestic abuse, who you will provide a range of outreach-based support services to.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who has experience of supporting people affected by domestic abuse/sexual violence. You will need to be a strong team player who possess tact and diplomacy and can confidently communicate with people in distress. Experience of safeguarding practices are essential as is a proven track record of building positive working relationships. You will be able to work on your own initiative and be confident dealing with changing priorities.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, approachable and with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
