**GROUNDWORK FOREMAN / WOMAN WANTED**

**About Read Construction**

**Overview**

As a working Groundworks Foreman/woman, you will be responsible for the groundworks on an allocated project and management of a small gang of groundworkers (both internal and external labour). The role will be “on the tools”, whilst offering supervisory duties.

Read are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic individual, with an ability to self-manage whilst working within a team. **We will consider all applicants with strong experience as either a Groundworker or Groundwork Foreman/woman.**

- Ability to read technical drawings and set out lines / levels
- Competent in tasks such as (but not limited to) drainage, pipe laying, foundations and concrete work, kerb laying, slabbing etc.
- Keen eye for details and right first-time attitude
- Experienced groundworker with a proven track record and strong leadership skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Supervise all aspects of health and safety on site in relation to the groundworks.
- Knowledge of tools and machinery, including relevant plant tickets.
