A rare opportunity to join our highly skilled and efficient Despatch Team.

The operator will need to be flexible and use a variety of skills, understanding quality, product and safety requirements and be able to handle non routine situations which may arise.

The operator may also need to undertake the tasks of operative and clean equipment or work areas. Will need to report problems and keep work area tidy and free from hazards.
- To ensure that packed bacon products are packed, wrapped, stored and despatched effectively and efficiently ensuring that they comply with the Customer and Company specifications and systems, conforming with the health, Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
- Organise own work activities and determine priorities within department to meet production schedules and other targets such as costs, productivity, waste, quality and safety.
- Set up, changeover and operate machinery and other equipment in the area within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.
- Carry out a range of manual tasks and activities and ensure all tasks are finished within permitted time frames.
- Check products and materials against the required quality standards to ensure they meet specifications.
- Transport the completed pallets from the conveyor lines, wrap, check and log each pallet using the Company Despatch System then transport to appropriate holding bay.
- Using appropriate equipment, lift the wrapped pallets into the nominated racks.
- Pick nominated customer orders and transport to the Despatch Hall ensuring that the date and stock rotation systems are complied with.
- Organise and load pallets onto road transport for despatch from the Factory.
- Good numeracy and literacy
- Ability to be a good team player
- Ability to work independently
- Practical / manual handling skills
