Grant Writer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grant Writer to join our team. As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organisation. This is a crucial role that plays a key part in supporting our mission and ensuring the sustainability of our programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Collaborate with program managers and other team members to gather information necessary for grant proposals
- Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate our organisation's goals, objectives, and impact
- Ensure all grant proposals are submitted in a timely manner and meet all requirements and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of grants applied for and received
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders to cultivate ongoing support
- Assist with the development of fundraising strategies and campaigns

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in grant writing or proposal writing
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
- Knowledge of grant research methods and resources
- Familiarity with grant management software (e.g., Raiser's Edge)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
