As a Health & Safety Manager, your primary role is to ensure the compliance of health and safety laws within the workplace. You play a crucial part in creating a safe work environment and minimising hazards to protect employees from occupational risks. Here are the key roles and responsibilities associated with this position:

- **Strategic Guidance and Compliance**:

- Provide strategic guidance on all health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Be accountable for measuring, managing, and implementing the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Stay informed about health and safety legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- **Safety Culture and Communication**:

- Promote company values in interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts.
- Foster a strong health and safety culture across the organisation.
- Develop communication strategies to ensure that health and safety plans and critical information are understood and followed by all employees and subcontractors.
- **Risk Assessment and Improvement**:

- Identify operational risks and opportunities, collaborating with operational teams to implement effective responses.
- Coach project teams to generate innovative solutions for common issues.
- Successfully implement the organisation’s health and safety strategy.
- **Operational Implementation**:

- Engage across sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions, toolbox talks, and inductions.
- Investigate incidents when necessary.
- Review risk assessments, method statements, and address health and safety queries.
- Undertake audits and inspections, reporting findings and suggesting improvements.
- **Additional Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and manage occupational health issues.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Directors

**Person Specification**:

- **Qualifications**: NEBOSH Diploma and other relevant health and safety qualifications.
- **Experience**: Health and safety experience within construction
- **Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
- Drive and enthusiasm for promoting a positive health and safety culture.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
