Actuarial Consultant - Enplan

Our Actuarial & Consulting Team
- As part of this role you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team - over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work we get involved with is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain lots of great, new experiences and put your skills to the test.
- This particular role will be as part of the Enplan Team - Enplan is one of the fastest growing DB consolidators in the market and now looks after around 60 schemes of different shapes and sizes.

The schemes within Enplan are serviced by a dedicated team within Isio with hubs based in Manchester and Scotland - but we’re very open to people in other locations joining the team.

It’s a great place to develop your actuarial skills no matter what your experience - whether that’s getting more client exposure or qualified taking on Scheme Actuary appointments. - What’s the role?

We’re looking for consultants and part-qualified actuaries with industry experience to join our team. This particular role is to join our specialist Enplan Team.
- As a challenger in the industry, we are looking for individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Day to day, you will be:

- Supporting in the delivery of advice to clients - this may include managing key client projects directly, and/or supporting our partners and directors to deliver to our clients.
- As well as being involved in the technical aspects of projects, this will also involve working with and building relationships with clients directly, working as part of a team and developing those around you.
- Assisting in the development of new business, both with existing and new clients.
- As part of your role, there will be a wide range of opportunities to get involved in a lot of different areas of pensions consulting and have access to a wide range of clients within the Enplan Team.

Where is the role?
- We can offer a range of locations for you to choose from - we have Isio offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reading.

We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between working in the office and at home.

Key skills and experience
- Experience - a consultant or a part-qualified actuary with relevant industry experience.
- A great communicator - someone who can explain complex problems in a simple way to help everyone around the table understand.
- Enthusiasm and motivation - a great deal of desire to solving problems and delivering excellent advice.
- Excellent project management and client delivery skills - especially when balancing multiple demands.
- A great team worker - this will either be as part of a team, or managing a team, depending on your experience.
