Housekeeping Team Leader

Worton Park is looking for a Housekeeper to lead a small team of Housekeepers in the overall maintaining of Worton Park. This is a new role due to the business expanding.

The role will be primarily based at Worton Park but includes other sites in Thrupp and Woodstock; leading a team of housekeeping staff supporting the effective running of holiday lets, offices and Worton Hall (Wedding Venue).

Duties will include:

- Team Leader of housekeeping
- Liaising with the Operations Manager
- Scheduling and prioritising dependant on the needs of the business
- Optimising efficiencies and best practice
- Washing/Ironing
- Wedding and conference linen preparation
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Sweep/mop/polish and hoover various floor types.
- Make up beds and organise soft furnishings.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport other rubbish and waste to disposal areas.
- Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
- Wash windows, walls, and woodwork and polishing as necessary.
- Report repairs to Operations Manager or Maintenance Team
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using approved anti-bacterial cleaning materials
- Hang curtains, and dust window blinds.
- Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
- Observe precautions required to protect cottage and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to management.
- Any other duties as requested by Worton Park management.

Ideally you will have the following skills:

- Experience of leading a team
- Knowledge of health and safety related to housekeeping and an awareness of environmental issues.
- Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure properties are cleaned to a high standard, well serviced and that equipment is stored safely.
- Self-motivated and adaptable.
- Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments, such as office and maintenance staff.
- Be responsive and have the ability to solve problems and think on your feet.

Please Note that due to the remote rural location of Worton Park, direct public transport routes are not available and a driving license is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,834.00 per year
