**Alternative Provision Instructor**

TeamSport Indoor Karting creates a safe, unique, and exciting experience for everyone We are now recruiting for an Alternative Provision Instructor to join our fantastic team at TeamSport Indoor Karting.

**About the Opportunity**

You will deliver specially designed L1 and L2 qualifications as an Alternative Provision Instructor.

These applicable lessons will raise attainment for pupils with specific barriers to learning. At the same time ensuring pupils make the required progress set by the main educational setting and ultimately helps make a difference in the lives of the country's most disadvantaged and disengaged young people.

**About the Provision**

TeamSport Indoor Karting and Fast Forward Vocational Training Ltd have teamed up nationally to offer an exciting, engaging, and unique opportunity for young people wishing to acquire vocational skills and qualifications.

Fast Forward is a specialist training provider with a determination to bridge the gap between disadvantaged youths, SEND students and those students missing from education and their peers to enable success and build positive futures across the UK.

Working with students of all abilities and needs has enabled us to adapt our nationally recognised and accredited motor vehicle studies programme to ensure all students can achieve. The course is designed to develop communication and interaction, Cognition and learning, physical and sensory needs, and social, emotional, and mental health.

A typical motor vehicle studies course would involve working on cars and road vehicles, this specially adapted programme has been designed to make use of the tracks fleet of karts which allows students more time hands-on and allows us to simplify the course to its mechanical roots giving those students with higher needs a greater a simpler route to understanding and chance of completing the course.

Students will also be invited to make use of the karting track giving them a real carrot at the end of the session

We pride ourselves in steering children in the right direction, nurturing aspirations to progress them both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Socially, we build con?dence in our students, so they are able to have a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live.

**Responsibilities**:

- In partnership with the Alternative Provision Lead ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum that is appropriate for the pupils you are supporting and that meets their needs and interests.
- Work with the pupils you support to complete vocational qualifications at level 1 and level 2.
- Liaise with Fast Forward to report student progression, attendance, and achievements.
- To work closely with the Alternative Provision Lead and Track manager to ensure all the relevant checks and risk assessments are completed for all Educational Visits involving the pupils you support.
- To play a proactive part in ensuring that all activities in place are relevant and suited to the pupils' needs.

**Qualifications required**:

- No formal qualifications are required for this role and training will be provided however, previous experience in education would be a benefit along with any mechanical/engineering knowledge.
