**Band/Pay rate**: Band 5, £13.12 per hour (enhanced rates for evenings and weekends)

Contract: 12 weeks from start date

**Hours**: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday

**Mandatory qualifications requirement**:

- **Recognised Plumbing Apprenticeship. (mandatory)**:

- **Level 3 City & Guilds Advance Craft Certificates or equivalent e.g., NVQ L3, BTEC L3. (mandatory)**:

- Good education standard.
- HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering.
- CP Ventilation.
- CP Water Safety
- CP Boilers & Pressure Systems.
- CP Medical Gas Pipeline Systems.
- City & Guilds 2391.

The Role

We are now looking to recruit several catering assistants to work at Stockport Stepping Hill Hospital on a temporary contract. This role would suit someone who is able to spare a few hours each week to support their local trust or is looking for extra work on an ad-hoc basis.

Please note hours may vary each week depending on the needs of the Trust and this is not a full-time permanent position.

Experience Required

The role would suit someone who holds a level 3 City & Guilds qualification in plumbing & heating or has a minimum of two years’ experience working in the field.

As a plumber in the NHS, your work includes:
planned maintenance and inspections

repairing equipment that is broken or faulty

testing equipment and systems

improvements and installations across the trust

You could be working alongside other estates services staff such as electricians, carpenters and bricklayers. You may travel between sites in an NHS vehicle or your own van.
